Crystal Awards 2018: Marketing Refresh Proud of Our Campaign for National Signs

The team at Marketing Refresh was proud to show off our client work for National Signs at the 2018 Crystal Awards presented by AMA Houston.

This gathering of Houston’s top marketers is the largest marketing award show in Texas with over 600 marketing professionals represented from top industries.

At this year’s event, our marketing agency was a finalist for the Online Marketing category for our lead generation campaign supporting National Signs.

Although we did not win the award this year, we were honored to be in the same category as industry leaders such as the MD Anderson Cancer Center and ultimate winner, Camden Property Trust.

Why is the AMA Houston Crystal Awards Important for Our Agency?

The prestigious AMA Houston Crystal Awards is a measuring stick for where our agency stands in Houston’s marketing space.

This year, AMA Houston celebrated extraordinary marketing by recognizing “the brightest and most innovative marketing talent in Texas.” To be a finalist with other agencies and marketers was very rewarding for our team.

During the event, we were able to see the hard work from our Houston marketing colleagues and hear stories from marketing teams who are equally committed to producing quality work.

The Crystal Awards is also an opportunity to take a moment from our year-round work supporting clients to celebrate victories, such as our campaign for National Signs.

How Did Our Agency Support National Signs?

National Signs, which is the largest sign company in Houston, came to Marketing Refresh looking to grow their business through a more effective and cost-efficient digital marketing campaign.

When we started working together, we developed a lead generation optimization campaign to address key issues they were facing. These issues included expensive costs per lead, low engagement with existing customers, and a slow website that was pushing away potential customers.

As part of the strategy to help National Signs reach their business goals, we executed the following actions:

  • Set up conversion-optimized landing pages
  • Completed onsite and offsite SEO to extend reach
  • Cleaned up the National Signs website and improved site efficiency
  • Engaged their audience with blogs, eNews, and social media content highlighting their signage expertise

The results of our collaborative approach to a new strategy included 1,298 new leads, a 61 percent increase in organic traffic, and a 95 percent decrease in the cost per lead.
