5 Questions For Our New Creative Director

David Klotz Creative Director Marketing Refresh is growing. If you look at our team page, you’ll see that we’re now a fantastic six. Our newest member, David Klotz, sat down with us to answer the tough questions. The following is the uncensored version of his interview.

What’s your role?

I’m the Creative Director. I brainstorm, concept, create, and design any and all visual aspects of collateral for clients as well as internal needs for Marketing Refresh. I will also help grow the creative services arm of the company.

Why are you excited to join the team?

I really enjoy the people I get to work with, and the collaboration is second to none. This feels like the perfect fit as far as being able to apply my skill set to a variety of awesome projects for even cooler clients.

Do you know what you’re getting into?

I started freelancing for Marketing Refresh at the end of July and have worked on projects for a variety of clients. I’m aware that it’s a fast paced environment, and I’m ready to take care of business.

Did you go to school or just watch a lot of YouTube Videos?

I received a B.A in Applied Design and Visual Art from University of Houston-Clear Lake.  YouTube is great for building knowledge, but nothing replaces my decade of experience.

How’s your Street Cred?

I’m the drummer for Thug Boots, and play for a band called WITSEC that features members from my previous band, Landfill. I like woodworking. And I’m not sure if this counts towards street cred, but I’m also involved with the Houston Interactive Marketing Association.
