About this Role
The Account Strategist position is critical to the Marketing Refresh organization. The Account Strategist is responsible for fully researching and understanding the client’s vertical and business. This position works with the Vice President of Account Strategy to develop, implement, and maintain the continuity of the full marketing scope for each client assigned.
The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 – $70,000 based on experience.

Requirements
3+ years of experience building strategies for B2B companies with a sales team
Track record of success that you can speak to (from conception to results)
5+ years experience with online marketing, search, social media, and email marketing best practices
2+ years of agency or client services experience preferred
Responsibilities
Accountable for the strategy, oversight, analysis, and communication for 6-10 client accounts
Identify opportunities for growth and upsell new projects and ongoing client scope additions; collaborate with executive management on pricing and timeline of project and scope additions
Demonstrate a confident level of expertise in a wide range of marketing applications – from overall marketing strategy to specific digital marketing deliverables, including content creation, keyword research and analysis, reporting and program performance, website strategy, email marketing, social media, ad strategy, and more
Work to ensure our scope of work stays on schedule, performs optimally, and stays within budget
Other projects and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management
Maintain timelines, tasks, and due dates through our project management tool, Teamwork
Develop knowledge of the business for each of your clients to marry with your marketing expertise for your strategies, including maintaining a working knowledge of the trends, current events, and competitive landscape
Continuing education to improve and expand upon digital marketing knowledge and expertise
Review, edit, and oversee the content development process – You are the final step to ensure that the content is within brand guidelines, meets client objectives, and is without error
Lead the creation of monthly performance goals, assessment of successes, areas for improvement, and recommendations for the future
Develop and present recommendations to clients as needed to optimize the effectiveness of your strategies (we do not create client templates; every strategy is customized to what will be effective based on the needs of our individual clients)
Develop creative briefs and coordinate with teams to communicate strategies to all involved parties, including SEO strategists, ad managers, copywriters, designers, and developers
Identify opportunities for growth and upsell new projects and ongoing client scope additions; collaborate with executive management on pricing and timeline of project and scope additions
Contribute to the growth of Marketing Refresh with occasional blogging and other forms of digital marketing
