BARC is the City of Houston’s Animal Shelter and Adoption Facility. BARC is the only city shelter in Houston required by law to accept every animal that comes through our doors regardless of breed, temperament, health conditions, and circumstance (from owner surrender, stray pickup, rescued or confiscated animals).
Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them demonstrate courage. They also participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, SOTX athletes, and the community.
Houston Recovery Homes manages homes in the Spring Branch area of Houston, Texas for sober men wanting a better way of life. Their sober living home encourages a spiritual awareness, caring, hope, accountability and a fresh start in life.
