Founder & CEO
Terri Hoffman founded Marketing Refresh in 2009 with the objective of helping small and medium-sized businesses market in the same league as companies with millions in their marketing budgets. By leveraging her 20+ years of marketing experience and her relationships with other freelance marketing specialists, Terri is able to focus on devising financially efficient plans that drive results.
Prior to starting Marketing Refresh, Terri was the Director of Marketing at Omni-ID, an RFID tag start-up based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Terri also led the Account Services team at THUNDER FACTORY, an integrated marketing agency where she learned the value of building strong relationships, and listening closely to client’s needs.
Terri graduated from Michigan Tech University in 1994 with a degree in Marketing, where she played for 4 years on the women’s basketball team.
Terri lives in Cypress, Texas with her husband and three daughters. She loves to play tennis and watch football (GO PACK)!
Director of Search Marketing
After partnering with Marketing Refresh for three years to aid in implementation of our clients search marketing goals, Aaron Eaves joined full time in 2014. Already familiar with our antics, he came prepared with an ability to quickly find solutions to any of our organizational woes, while continuing to provide our clients with strategies to increase their Search Engine rankings.
Aaron is the founder of a local search marketing group in Houston, SearchHOU, where marketing professionals meet monthly to share knowledge, experiments and tactics.
When Aaron isn’t geeking out over SEO and project management, he’s geeking out over scuba diving, soccer (let’s go Dynamo!), bass guitar, and traveling. Aaron attended Lamar University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management Information Systems.
Director of Content Marketing
Trey came onboard at the start of 2015 eager to assist new growth opportunities for existing and potential Marketing Refresh clients. Trey’s experience in the entertainment business led him from Los Angeles to Nashville, where he worked in the following areas: copyrights, publishing, digital marketing, promotions, and direct marketing.
Before his transition into entertainment, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy and was deployed twice overseas to support narcoterrorism operations in Central and South America. While in the service he supervised and tested the installation, preventative maintenance and safety procedures for various weapons systems and technology. Trey’s unique blend of military and entertainment background offers a fresh perspective to our team that is focused on collaboration, attention to detail, and a results driven approach to providing solutions for our clients marketing needs.
Trey lives in Humble, Texas and enjoys spending time with his daughter, family, and friends. He’s also an avid guitar aficionado and enjoys songwriting and other various intellectual pursuits. Trey attended University of Houston Clear Lake where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
After a short time freelancing with us, David officially joined Marketing Refresh in the fall of 2015. He brings a diverse set of skills and styles of design with him, and he’s excited to be here.
David is involved with the Houston Interactive Marketing Association (Houston IMA) where he serves on the Marketing Committee. He has an extensive background in creative arts, and has been working as a graphic designer for over a decade.
If you’re trying to find David when he’s not busy designing and creating, you’d likely find him playing drums in multiple bands, shopping for records (yes, actual vinyl), woodworking and spending the majority of his time with his wife and son. David attended the University of Houston / UH-Clear Lake where he received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Applied Design and Visual Art.
Director of Business Development, Automotive
Seizing the opportunity to provide a service that is inadequate within the automotive industry, Joseph decided to partner alongside the team at Marketing Refresh and create an experience that is truly bar none within the auto dealer community.
With over 11 years experience in the automotive dealer industry, Joseph started as a Sales Consultant, and managed both the Finance and Sales departments with Nissan and Honda.
His dedication to excellence had him personally recognized by Nissan, awarding him with the Nissan Owner First Award of Excellence. He has also been given the opportunity to serve on the Honda Council of Sales. In addition to his personal recognition Joseph has contributed to several OEM Dealer Awards including: the Honda Presidents Award and the Nissan Owner First Award of Excellence.
Joseph is happily married with two children, and enjoys life at both ends of the climate spectrum: spending time skiing in the mountains, and on the beach lounging with his family and friends.
It took James three sentences to get an interview and one blog post to get the job. His passion for creativity and desire to work for Marketing Refresh was evident. He joined the team in 2015 with a pen and a goal to move from good to great.
Prior to this, James was a Junior Copywriter at Unleaded Communications. He created taglines, e-blasts and web content for some of the biggest Oil and Gas companies in Houston. His ability to breakdown technical content into something readable is a tremendous value but by no means his only tool in the shed. With the industry downturn, James took his unique skillset to Marketing Refresh.
He’s a native Houstonian and a proud UH alumni with a B.A in Communication. Like other millennials, James enjoys good food, hiking and craft beer. Don’t let his quiet persona fool you. He’s soaking up every word to turn his passion into results.
Visual Media Manager
Gary is currently the rookie on the Marketing Refresh team, but this capable middle-infielder brings a diverse skill-set and thoughtful approach to the game. Having spent nearly two decades in television operations, he comes to us with a unique blend of technical intuition and creative vision.
When he’s not working to beat a deadline, he can be found enjoying his hometown, specifically, the Houston Heights, where he was born and raised. Gary loves to give visitors the tour of coffee shops, restaurants and dive bars, and shares the numerous backstories whenever possible. His sense of wonder and passion for the brand is always evident in his work and play.
Gary is also a successful fine art/documentary photographer, and former guitarist/songwriter. Road trips, dinners with his daughter, and his record collection, are what fuels his creativity and satisfies his soul.
Lindsay has been part of the Marketing Refresh family for some time but officially joined the team as an Account Manager in 2017.
She’s no stranger to managing. Before this, Lindsay spent two years with Postmates as the Field Operations Manager for both the Houston and Dallas Area. In that role, she hired, trained, and managed roughly 1,200 couriers. Lindsay has also worked as a freelance social media manager for several small businesses as well as a freelance copywriter for a local bakery, event planner, and car dealership.
When she isn’t serving clients, Lindsay loves to bake, paint, and play with her Boston Terrier, Gatsby. She’s currently trying to eat her way through Houston, one cheese board at a time. And is a proud graduate of University Of Texas with a B.S in Advertising. Hook ‘EM!
