Marketing Refresh is happy to announce to launch of the new Gingersnaps ETC. ecommerce website.
Gingersnaps ETC is part of The Center, a Houston-based not-for-profit agency, who believes that all adults with developmental disabilities should have opportunities to promote choice, personal growth, and independence so they may achieve their full potential.
The organization was started Alicia Lee, who served as a volunteer for George H.W. Bush. Lee, who was also a volunteer at The Center, was speaking with Barbara Bush, who was visiting her husband’s office one day. Mrs. Bush suggested that The Center make Gingersnaps their project as well as Fruitcakes. When asked if she would support the project Mrs. Bush said that she would be happy to.
The work began to develop a recipe that was crisp and spicy, with lots of taste. The complete product line, which includesGingersnaps, Cheesesnaps, Fruitcakes and Crunchy Chocolate Nuggets have been recommended by and featured in the Houston Chronicle, The New York Times, Wine Spectator, Saveur Magazine and other publications across the country.
The new website modernizes the user experience, and enables the staff to easily process orders from individuals, as well as bulk orders from corporations who need to ship to multiple addresses.
Gingersnaps is a 100% volunteer-driven organization, and all proceeds from the sales of products go to enrich the lives of the 600 adults served daily by The Center. Since 1998, the Gingersnaps volunteers have sold more than $4 million of their product and contributed more than $2 million to The Center.
A special thank you goes to all involved in the project, including the Gingernsnaps team and our partners: BZ Lee, Alicia Lee, Christina Nowell, Aleberry Design and Comal Productions. Thank you for true professionalism and quality throughout!
And if you’re looking for a unique gift for people on your Holiday list, don’t miss the opportunity to give back to this Houston treasure helping so many!
