My Contract

Mutual Trust and Professionalism

When starting a new project or relationship, my clients always request that I send over my contract. Truth is, I don’t have one! Ummm….Terri….what if there’s a problem? What if somebody doesn’t hold up their end of the bargain? Then what?

One of the reasons I started my own business was to have the ability to select who I get to work with. I only want to work with nice, fun, honest people who want to get better results for their business. Guess what, I’m fortunate enough to be at a point in my career where I can be choosy about who I take on as a client. In return, my clients get a hard-working, focused person who will make sure we all succeed. I fully realize I’m always up for review, and that I need to drive results in order to hang around.

In this world of litigation and finger-pointing, can this actually work? I’m going to have some faith and give it a shot.

So here’s what you’ll get:

  • A list of deliverables, a price and a timeline for completion
  • Respect
  • Guidance and advice
  • A good listener and learner of your business
  • Open communication
  • A reliable marketer who wants to stay at the top of my game
  • Timely service and support
  • A pleasant person to be around
  • Here’s what I expect:

  • To be paid within a reasonable amount of time (30 days is pretty standard, right?)
  • Respect
  • Responsiveness to my requests
  • Support
  • Open communication
  • Pleasant interactions
  • Some notice if you need to end things. Maybe something completely out of your control has happened. (Again, 30 days is pretty standard, right?)
  • The Golden Rule

It all comes back to the values I learned from my parents and my religion. Treat people how you would like to be treated. I would like to be treated well. You know, like a true professional. And I will certainly do the same in return.
