COPYWRITER – Marketing Refresh
Marketing Refresh is on the hunt for a Copywriter to add to our Houston creative team. We are a digital marketing collective of quirky individuals based in Houston that cater to an eclectic mix of clients across a wide range of industries.
Marketing Refresh is a culture of builders, people with entrepreneurial minds, master collaborators, sprinkled with an enthusiasm to go the extra mile and always put our clients out front. The ideal team member we’re looking for would possess all of these qualities along with a team player mentality that would make JJ Watt look selfish.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2-4 years of copywriting experience
- Experience creating and executing various forms of copy across multiple channels
- Located in Houston, Texas
- Capable of working both in an office environment and remotely while being able to manage time effectively.
- Maintain professional network and participate in professional organizations
Primary Responsibilities
- A bright eyed curiosity towards researching the technical characteristics of products and services
- Being able to put your finger on what makes products or services appealing to customers
- Maintaining a rapier wit for developing new unique concepts and approaches
- Copywriting for digital media including blogs, social media and email campaigns with timely and relevant content
- Revise, edit, and proofread content as needed or directed by our clients
- Meeting deadlines for all forms of digital copy
- Being the team’s ‘eye in the sky’ for spelling and grammatical errors
- Contribute to our ‘street cred’ by responding to client feedback in a timely manner
- Gel with our design teams to provide copy for the completion of the campaign
- Stay up-to-date with market trends to provide maximum impact of digital copy
- Mind meld with our Search Marketing Manager to optimize SEO tactics for our clients
